NREL Scholarships

Applications are invited for the Francis Clark Soil Biology Scholarship, and for the James E. Ellis Memorial Scholarship.

Deadline for submission is Monday, June 2, 2017. The scholarships are open to students who have an affiliation with the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory and the Department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability and a broad interest in either soils and soil biology (Clark), or relationships between humans and their environments (Ellis).   For more information please click on the links below.

Francis Clark Scholarship Information & Application

The Francis Clark Soil Biology Scholarship provides support to undergraduate or graduate students in the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory (NREL). Established by Francis and Evelyn Clark, the scholarship reinforces their belief in the importance of continued research in soil biology and maintaining NREL on the cutting edge of science.

 

JAMES E. ELLIS MEMORIAL GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
James E. Ellis Memorial Scholarship Information & Application

The James E. Ellis Memorial Graduate Scholarship provides support to graduate students at NREL. Established in the memory of James Ellis, this scholarship advances knowledge of ecosystems and the humans that rely upon them.

 

USDA FELLOWSHIPS IN ECOSYSTEM SCIENCE AND SUSTAINABILITY

The US Department of Agriculture has awarded the Natural Resource Ecology Lab (NREL) a grant to support three PhD students in an innovative graduate program focusing on ecosystem science and environmental sustainability. More information

 

GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES- NATURAL RESOURCE ECOLOGY LABORATORY

The Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory is currently accepting applications for graduate student fellowships. We currently have numerous opportunities for graduate students to work in the K-12 classroom at local schools. More information

 

To be eligible, students must be enrolled in courses or in research instruction credit during the award period. International students must provide documentation of their lawful presence in the US.
