Readme (PC version)

This directory contains a installation file that can be used to install CENTURY version 4.0 on your PC. This version of CENTURY must be run under Windows 95. The executable files that will be installed on your computer are:

The install utility will also copy a full set of support files for CENTURY into the directory with your CENTURY executable. These files include example parameter files (*.100), sample schedule files (*.sch), and definition files (*.def) for each of the parameter files.

To install these files on your computer download the file cent40.exe using binary transfer. To run the install double-click on the cent40.exe filename in Windows Explorer or use the Start | Run option on the Windows 95 Start menu by selecting the Browse button to locate the cent40.exe file that you have downloaded. Please read the README and Getting Started files before running CENTURY for the first time.

If you are interested in obtaining the CENTURY source files they are located in the SOURCE directory. These files were developed using Fortran PowerStation 4.0 and contain a combination of Fortran and C code. If you wish to compile and run these files using a different compiler you may need to make modifications to the code.
