The Century Model Interface (CMI) was developed to give users of the Century model a convenient tool for configuring and running Century simulations and viewing the simulation results. Currently CMI configures and runs the monthly time-step version of Century5 only.
The simplest way for you to configure and run Century is to:
If you want to modify the details of the management and parameter values, you can edit the site characteristics (parameters) and management plans. You can create new management schemes by combining small units of management or create a new management scheme from scratch.
As the simulation runs, a progress bar will display the simulation years. You can force a simulation to terminate immediately. Messages regarding the simulation progress and termination will be displayed in the status and history windows.
You can specify preferences including directories for personal site and management files, project directories, and select the working directory. The preferences can optionally be saved to, and recalled from a preferences, or initialization, file.
