Ed Hall Biography
Ed, originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, completed his Bachelors in Biology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. After teaching middle and high school science for two years in Tegucigalpa, Honduras Ed completed his PhD at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior. This led to a Post-Doctoral position at the University of Vienna where he studied the microbial ecology of sub-alpine streams before he joined the USGS in Fort Collins as a Mendenhall Fellow. In addition to his NREL appointment Ed is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability.
